SECVEL Data Security Covers (DSC) are factory manufactured with great attention to detail an are high quality Austrian products. The protective materials are carefully laid inside every cover by hand and heat-sealed. SECVEL with 5-fold protection
Cards and documents that are equipped with RFID/NFC technology can be read without authorisation. This can lead to the danger of your data being used fraudulently for criminal purposes.
SECVEL card protection wallets provide protection against the unauthorised reading of cards and documents that are equipped with RFID/NFC technology – even protecting against high performance readers. Every unauthorised access to your cards or documents will be blocked by the patented SEVCEL® technology, putting a stop to the fraudulent reading of your data. (N.B.: The thumb notch on SECVEL card protection sleeves limits protection.)
Magnetic stripes are described as either low coercivity (LoCo) or high coercivity (HiCo).
Depending on their coercivity, magnetic stripes are prone to damage from magnetic fields to a varying extent.
The protective materials used by SECVEL effectively curb the most common dangerous magnetic fields, up to approx. 125-135 mT, thus protecting your card from damage.
We would like to point out that 100% protection can not be guaranteed against very strong magnetic fields.
In most cases, once a magnetic stripe becomes bent, the card will only work sporadically, or not at all.
The protective materials of SECVEL covers are extremely sturdy, protecting your card against bending when it is placed, for example, inside a hip pocket.
Larger dust particles can scratch an unprotected magnetic stripe and cause your card to only work occasionally or not at all.
SECVEL covers protect the magnetic stripe on your cards from becoming excessively dusty and gritty.
When plastic is subject to heat, it can deform. Plastic cards are therefore prone to warp when they get too hot. Sometimes plastic cards are left unprotected inside cars, where they are exposed to direct sunlight. If this causes the card to warp, the card will inevitably become faulty.
